Make a new document thats 500x250px and with black background, make a new layer and name it “Circle” and create a white circle like this size:

And apply these Blending Options to it:

Now create a new text layer and type in your text (in Bold if necessary), I will use Arial:

We will need to Raterize the text layer (right-click) and then separate each letter into a new layer:

Let the letters grow:

For each letter, go to: Edit > Transform > Skew and in the tool bar you will see some fields, in “H” pu -9:

When we transformed the letters, they moved a bit so we need to bring them closer together in the middle.

Now, make a selection on the Circle layer (by holding Control and clicking its layer) and press Control + Shift + I so we inverse the selection, with a letter layer selected, press delete. Do this to the other letter:

Apply these Blending Options to each letter:

You should have something like this:

Create a new layer between the text layers and the “Circle” layer and name it “Circle effect” and using the Elliptical Marquee tool, make a selection:

Pressing Control + Shift + Alt, click once the “Circle” layer so the selection intercepts with the orb:

Now, with the selection still active, press Shift + F5 and fill it with Black. Set the layer to Opacity: 15% and the Fill to 0%, use these Blending Options:

You should have something like this:

Almost done! But we need to make one last effect.

We will need to duplicate the “Circle effect” layer and name it “Letters effect” and place it above the letters. Right-click the “Letters effect” layer and Clear Layer Style, now, while pressing Control click on one of the letters layer, then you will need to press Control + Shift to add the selection of the other letter and you should get this selection:

Now, press Control + Shift + I to invert the selection and press Delete:

Again, we will need to make a selection, while pressing Control click the “Letters effect” layer and right-click inside the selection and click Marke work path, use 0.5 tolerance:

Select the Pen Tool and move the anchor points like this:

Now, right-click inside the Work path and click Make Selection: Feather Radius: 0 pixels, Anti-aliased, Operation: New selection. Press Control + Shift + I to invert the selection and press Delete:

This is our final step, set the Opacity of the layer to 60% and apply these Blending Options:

And this is what you should end up with:

Create a New Layer and get the Brush tool, with the Soft Rounded 300 pixel selected, click once over the letter that you want to be focused.

Holding down Control on your keyboard, left-click the layer we have just created and applied the brush to it. When the brush selection is done press Control + Shift + I to invert the selection:

Now, select the text layer and go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur, set the Radius to 10 pixels and click OK. You will be asked to rasterize the layer and click OK too, you will end with something like this:

Open a 800x600px document with a white background. Hit D on your keyboard to reset the colors and go to Filter > Render > Difference Clouds, press Control + J to duplicate the layer and apply the Difference Clouds filter again bi pressing Control + F, do this last step again so we have 3 layers with Difference Clouds filter applied, like this:

Unique Digital Camo Pattern

Now, select the bottom layer and make invisible the other two, like this:

Unique Digital Camo Pattern

Go to Filter > Artistic > Cutout, and use these settings:

Number of levels: 3 (because our camo patter will have 3 different colors).
Edge simplicity: 0.
Edge fidelity: 1.

And you will have something like this (note the three colors):

Unique Digital Camo Pattern

Press Control + Shift + L to autolevel the image so we have the colors more defined and it will turn into this:

Unique Digital Camo Pattern

Now go to Filter > Texture > Patchwork and use these settings:

Square size: 1.
Relief: 0.

And you should have something like this:

Unique Digital Camo Pattern

Now go to Filter > Artistic > Cutout and use these settings:

Number of levels: 2.
Edge simplicity: 0.
Edge fidelity: 1.

And you will have something like this:

Unique Digital Camo Pattern

Apply Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen edges and it will turn out like this:

Unique Digital Camo Pattern

Now use the Magic Wand to select all the “islands”:

Unique Digital Camo Pattern

And press Control + J on your keyboard to duplicate the layer with the “islands” selected:

Unique Digital Camo Pattern

For the other two layers repeat the process: Cutout, Autolevel, Patchwork, Cutout, Sharpen edges, “islands” selection.

You should end something like this:

Unique Digital Camo Pattern

You will notice that there will be two “islands” layers that have small ones, place one above the other and merge those two. Select the layer at the bottom, and create a new layer by pressing Control + Shift + N and fill it with a white background by pressing Shift + F5.

Your final result should be something like this:

Unique Digital Camo Pattern

BUT we are creating a 3 color camo, so right-click the “islands” layers and go to Blending Options > Color Overlay and apply a black color to one and a gray color to the other one since we already hace the third color as our background, white.

Unique Digital Camo Pattern

Download my PSD.

With this tutorial you will learn how to create Marijuana Man in just 10 minutes.

Open up your Photoshop and copy this image:

Then create a new document and it will have the dimensions of the image you copied, paste the image. Now we will need an image of a marijuana plant (it’s a fake plant so don’t worry) so we can create our hero, use this one:

And paste it in a new layer. Duplicate the man layer and chop the man’s head in the duplicated layer and you should end with something like this, don’t worry about all the hair just make a simple work, not detailed.

Now duplicate the original man layer again (you should have the new duplicate under the chopped one) and move it a little to the right so the man looks like if it had invisible superpowers:

Now lets go to the marijuana image layer and with the Background Eraser Tool (right-click Eraser Tool), click once in the white background of the plant image (so that the Background Eraser has the white color setted -white will be you Backgound Color in the tool window-) and then right-click and use this settings:

Now click in the white background and you should end with this:

But there are some white areas between the leaves, so click on them so you get a fully transparent background but be careful because if you click on a leaf the Background Eraser will erase that color the next time you click. After you are done with that, select the Elliptical Marquee Tool (right-click Rectangular Marquee Tool) and make a selection like this one and press Delete on your keyboard:

Now press Control + J to duplicate the plant image with the transparent background and press Control + T to transform it like you want and erase some parts of the duplicated one, do this like 3 times until you end like something like this:

Next, merge the duplications with the plant layer and place them where the head used to be:

Make a round cut at the bottom of the new marijuana head to make it look like if it comes from inside the shirt.
Do the same with the hands and you will finally have your Marijuana Man!

In this tutorial you will learn how to easily create a black and white vector with highlights from a photograph. Let’s start!

Open up the image from what you want to make a vector. I will use this one i took some weeks ago:

Next, duplicate (Control + J) Background layer and save the PSD with a different name than the photo. Change the name of the new layer to: “vector”.

Now go to Filter > Artistic > Cutout, play with the settings being (the lowest setting):
Number of levels: 3.
Edge simplicity: 0.
Edge fidelity: 3.

You should get something like this, as for the details (remember you need the mayor highlights).

Now, you must extract the object from the rest of the photograph. Do this with the Pen Tool and help yourself with lowering the opacity of the “vector layer” so you can see through it and have the Backgound layer as a guide.

When you finally have the selection, make a new layer with the extracted object and name it “object”, you should get something like this.

I changed the object’s (airplane) color to white (with Blending Options > Color Overlay) so you could see it but change it to black. In the “vector” layer you can see the highlights of the object, now put “object” layer over “vector” if you dont have it like this and with the Pen Tool select the highlighted parts of the object that appear in the “vector” layer. Start selecting the highlighted parts of the object and fill one by one in a new layer, after this you should get something like this:

First, get a white sheet and get your black ink cartridge and start hitting the sheete with the cartridge but if no ink comes our, put your hand behind the sheete and press the part from the ink comes out.
This will get you a lot of ink so spread it with the cartridge. The ink will dry in a few seconds but put your hand over it to be sure it is dey.
Now scan it, put the options: 200 dpi and Color (not white and black).

Open the image with PhotoShop and go to Edit > Define Brush Preset and type a name. Done this, open a new documentof 500×500 px and white background, create a New Layer (Control + Shift + N) and choose the Brush (you will get by default the brush that you just scanned). Apply it and right-click the layer and go to Blending Options:

Inner Glow:
Leave it as it is, just change the color to 9E0F10.

Color Overlay:
Leave it as it is, just change the color to 7E0505.

The result should look like this:

Create a 400×400 document with a white BG. then using the Rectangle Rounded Tool, create a standing rectangle and right-click the layer and Raterize Layer:

Then right-click and use this blending options:

Nice, huh. now we will create the screen, then again with the Rectangle Rounded Tool create a rectangle in the top part of the one you made before, raterize layer:

Right-click and use this blending options:

For the Gradient Overlay just choose the “Foreground to Background” and change colors but the two colors have to be in the same range just one darker than the other.
looking nice, now select the Pen Tool. the first Anchor Point put it in the 3/4 (from up down) in the left side of the screen and the other in the 1/4 (from up down) in the right side of the screen:

now something weird will happen, dont worry just close the path:

now with the path closed, raterize the layer and press Ctrl-I. now select the screen layer and select the Magic Wand Tool, click outside the screen and select again the that you just raterized and press DELETE. now just set that layer to Soft Light:

for the screen we will need some icons. go to DaFont and download the CellPic font (so we save a lot of work). now using that font type (all in seperated layers) H, J and N. in the N layer, press Ctrl+T and rotate. Place all layers on top of the screen and under the Soft Lighted one. Now just add the Track number, artist name, song name and some other things you see in a CD/MP3-Player screen. The font i used for text is named DS-Digital, you can find it in DaFont too.

Now we need buttons, create some small rectangles using the Rectangle Rounded Tool. Then right-click the first layer you created and Copy Layer Style then right-click the buttons layer and Paste Layer Style. Now go to Blending Options and in the Bevel and Emboss change the style to Inner Bevel and in the Shading change the angle to 90°.

Now for the Play button, in a new layer holding Shift create a small square then press Ctr+T and rotate, then cut half. And keep doing this until you are finished with all buttons you need.
